Preparation for the test.
There is no need to do anything different from your normal routine to prepare for your Carotid Imaging. You may eat a meal before your test and take all of your medications (if any).
Is Carotid Imaging Safe?
The ultrasound exam you will have has no known risks. There are no x-rays used and there are no side-effects.
